Life's Traces (2014)

In 2014, I created "Life's Traces", building on my 1994 project "Kobold". I employed a broken line, inspired by the “head-to-tail” trapezoid grid, to generate abstract forms. Drawn in white on a black background, with thick lines, these figures evoke unprecedented, almost living entities not reproductions of existing creatures, but entirely new beings. Some recall protozoa, lampreys, or marine organisms, unfolding a formal vocabulary of infinite combinations. In this work, I sought to combine graphic research with a reflection on creation ex nihilo.
