Land of absorption (1990)
Location
Tourcoing MUBA
The project titled "Land of Absorption," which dates back to 1990, was exhibited at the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Tourcoing (MUBA). The idea behind it is that, much like visible bodies or sponges, it absorbs light and retains a portion of it, drawing the viewer’s gaze inward. Even when rendered as an image, that sense of absorption remains intact, almost like a silent call into the substance itself. Notably, it was showcased at the end of an exhibition by the conceptual artist Philippe Cazal.
