A Walk in the Park (1994)

In 1994, I presented A Walk in the Park at the Art Action gallery in Roubaix, a photographic series born of a need for air and escape. Created through wanderings and chance encounters, I fixed onto glossy paper fragments of life, bodies, forgotten objects, distant lights all bound together by an invisible thread. Working through a trapezoid frame to evoke a window or the space between columns, I embraced the stance of a “gentle voyeur.” The exhibition invited the public to be photographed from behind, before becoming part of a mise en abyme in which the photographer, in turn, became the subject. This visual promenade, poised between chance and intention, sought to suspend time and transform the captured instant into memory.
